The Reserve Defence Force (RDF) is the part time element of the Defence Forces and is comprised of the Army Reserve and the Naval Service Reserve. Located in 28 centres across the country the Reserve is an integral part of the Defence Forces, supporting the it in all is tasks, both at home and overseas. 

Reservists come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of experience and expertise from their civilian lives. Reserve service provides unparalleled opportunities for personal and professional development.
