Lucas is currently President of the European Association of People Management (EAPM), the umbrella body for 32 national HR associations, and Board member of the World Federation of People Management Associations, representing 600,000 HR professionals from around the world.

For the main part of his professional career, he has been working in HR, commercial and line jobs at Philips, Shell, KPN, and KLM and is currently director of HR in the University of Amsterdam. Lucas will talk about HR across Europe and share the celebrations of International HR Day, 20 May 2019.
